And I was silent.<\/p>\n

I didn't know what to answer.<\/p>\n

I realized that I miss joy in my life.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

I probably closed myself off from it and didn't feel it for most of my life except for a few moments.<\/p>\n

For many years I was too much in my head and didn't allow myself to let go.<\/p>\n

I also had trouble expressing my feelings in front of others.<\/p>\n

I preferred to wear a poker face as protection against vulnerability.<\/p>\n

There were only a few situations where I unconsciously relaxed a bit, mostly during parkour training or after a few glasses of alcohol.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

After this conversation with the coach, I started looking for ways to bring joy back into my life.<\/p>\n

I started listening to my intuition more, going out into nature and doing something for myself.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A little later, I learned to experience joy and happiness whenever I choose.<\/p>\n

I can now find joy and happiness inside at any time.<\/p>\n

All I have to do is \"switch\", and even though I sometimes feel resistance to this change from my ego, it works.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The truth is, anyone can do it.<\/p>\n

And you too.<\/p>\n

You might not want to hear this:<\/p>\n

Being happy and joyful is your decision.<\/p>\n

The only problem is in our decision that we will only be happy if\u2026 something.<\/p>\n

We have invented a condition that must be met in order to allow ourselves to feel happiness.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I started this painting thinking it would be part of a new series about connecting with our divinity.<\/p>\n

But then I saw a face there for the first time and decided to leave it there.<\/p>\n

I thought it was funny.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So I gave in and painted Joy for the sake of joy.<\/p>\n

Now I have to smile every time I see it.<\/p>\n

It improves the mood of everyone in its presence and reminds us not to take life so seriously.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Pure joy and happiness are on the verge of divinity.<\/p>\n

And with that, this work returns to the divine series.<\/p>\n
