Freedom

"Freedom" is a work about hardship and desire. Difficulty with money. I think we all hate the fact that we have to study hard to get a job. Have a job so we could live at all. And then just work until we basically die. It's like today's version of slavery. It's not the life I want to live and it's not the world I want to live in. I always knew I had great potential, but working for someone else just to get paid is a waste of time and talent. And it's destroying me inside. I just want a free life. I don't care about money and I just wish we didn't need it. And that is what this work represents. It is a vision of a new era. The vision of true freedom.

The vision for this work was born out of depression and feelings of hopelessness. I felt like a prisoner. Actually, I've been feeling this way quite a lot lately. Only four walls around me. But then I thought I'd rather focus on something more positive. I guess even in the darkest times I try to find a glimmer of hope somewhere. And then I imagined destroying those walls. I punch holes in them with my fists. And I see myself flying away And so I got an idea. This will be my next work. I immediately had an image in my head. Beautiful sky in yellow and pink. Maybe sunset or sunrise. And there I was, in the clouds, above them. I float freely and nothing holds me back.
